Das Renn Treffen 2024

Updated: Feb 13

A Decade of Porsche Passion in South Florida The 2024 Das Renn Treffen (DRT) marked a significant milestone in the Porsche community, celebrating its 10th anniversary in its typical grand style. Held in Sunset Place of South Miami, this year's event transformed the abandoned mall into a vibrant hub for Porsche enthusiasts from all walks of life.

Empty, abandoned storefronts welcomed names such as RUF, Zweck, and Singer as well as the families, photographers, and drivers that love them. Vintage and modern builds accompanied art, photography, and carefully arranged mirrors for a truly immersive event.

DRT, renowned as the largest Porsche gathering on the East Coast, attracted drivers, collectors, and admirers alike. From vintage Le Mans prototypes to modern GT3 RS's and carefully restomodded 930 Turbos, the show boasted an impressive array of Porsches that left attendees in awe.

The presence of industry giants like Zweck, Singer, and RUF added an extra layer of prestige to the event, showcasing some of the most coveted cars in the automotive world. Amidst live music and gourmet food vendors, guests were treated to thousands of vehicles, the meet spanning over 200,000 square feet.

I couldn't help but marvel at the meticulous curation of the venue, where every Porsche was so carefully placed within its environment. The atmosphere exuded a sense of casual sophistication, perfectly complementing the Miami vibes of a sunny, warm January Saturday.

The event transcended the many language barriers of guests from across the globe, uniting Porsche enthusiasts of all nationalities under a shared passion for the iconic brand.

DRT’s own anniversary coincided with the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911, adding an extra layer of significance to the festivities. As participants celebrated a decade of Das Renn Treffen, they also paid homage to six decades of Porsche iconography, making this year's event truly unforgettable.

Set within the confines of the abandoned Sunset Place mall, DRT’s venue added an intriguing dimension to the experience, transporting attendees to a realm where automotive marvels seamlessly blended with the remnants of consumer culture. Stepping into the mall felt like entering a parallel universe, where the familiar sights of storefronts and escalators provided a surreal backdrop for the spectacle of billions of dollars' worth of German engineering. This unique setting amplified the allure of DRT X, transforming an ordinary shopping destination into a playground for automotive enthusiasts, where every corner held the promise of discovering another automotive masterpiece.
